The World Curling Federation (WCF) has awarded its annual Congress to Reno-Tahoe in 2014. It marks the first time the gathering of international curling officials and stakeholders has been awarded to a North American city/region.
The Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition (RTWGC) partnered with the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) in preparing the successful bid. United States Curling Association Chief Operating Officer Rick Patzke made the successful presentation of the bid during the WCF’s Congress in Turnberry, Scotland this past October.
