Curling fans are “hurrying hard” to get their tickets for the historic 2014 World Financial Group (WFG) Continental Cup taking place January 16-19, 2014 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition has partnered with three major curling federations to host the competition.
“We are thrilled with the heavy interest the curling public has exhibited in buying tickets well in advance of the event,” said Jon Killoran. “Canadian fans especially are very excited about bringing one of their favorite sports and pastimes to one of their favorite cities to visit.”
The WFG Continental Cup is a four-day competition pitting some of the top men’s and women’s curlers from Team North America (Canada and the U.S.) versus Team World in a format similar to that of golf’s Ryder Cup. The event has been held exclusively in Canada since its 2002 debut. Team North America holds a 6-3 series advantage over Team World.
Currently, four-day all-session passes are on sale, giving fans a ticket to each of the eleven draws (matches). Three draws will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday January 16-18 with the final two draws held on Sunday, January 19. More than 2,500 all-session tickets have already been sold.
